Of course the virus is contained in the temporary files Sylpheed
creates, but that files won't be passed to other applications, so
they are no risk at all. Checking .sylpheed/mimetmp _is_ sufficient,
other checks are just paranoia without real effect.

Changing those folder names is only possible by changing them in
src/commmon/defs.h and recompiling.
I am not going to make it incompatible for most users (i.e. renaming),
just to work around a buggy commercial product (btw., can you ask
Symantec to bring out a fix? You can expect a working product when
you pay money for it.)

If you consider compiling yourself:
- Please use w32-0811claws23-1, more recent versions are currently
  highly experimental. To checkout this version, use
    cvs -z3 -d:pserver:[email protected]:/cvsroot/sylpheed-claws co -r w32-0811claws23-1 sylpheed-claws
  (as opposed to "-r win32" which means the most recent w32 version)
- The "README-w32.txt" in the root of the checkout contains instructions
  what libraries are needed and where to find/put them.
  After getting&installing tools and libs, the build using MinGW-GCC
  should be pretty simple (just type "make" in the win32 subdir).
