No, this was a special scan I setup to scan .sylpheed/mimetmp as Norton doesn't seem to scan my incoming pop mail. Maybe this is only because they don't contain attachments? I would still think the mail should be scanned. If as Thorsten says, SC hangs or crashes when Norton inhibits writing to the mail directory until having scanned for viruses, isn't this a bug rather than a feature?
