I've been a bit of a bumbling idiot 8-) Too many things going on I
guess. You were right, the above does work. I have been looking at the
sylpheedrc file from an old, orphaned install. I reinstalled SC and
directed $home to where it should be and then it dawned on me that I had
been looking at the wrong file.

As to the issue with Netscape Mail, yes you are also right there. I did
use Netscape Mail the first time I posted, but after the first posting,
I was using CBN Webmail. I guess I was just too stressed out to notice
that I had switched. I only used Netscape Mail the first time, as I
didn't have the list address in K-Meleon, which I normally use as
default browser. Here I was stressing out over getting SC to work and I
couldn't understand why you kept bugging me about Netscape Mail (doh).

Anyway, the upshot is that I got SC working again by using your
instructions on the corrects sylpheedrc file.
