Sylpheed 0.9.0 Claws changes delete behavior

I just upgraded to Sylpheed 0.9.0 Claws, and I noticed that now when I delete a message, the next message is not automatically displayed in the preview pane.  I have to hit SPACE or ENTER to get it displayed.  Is that intentional?  Any way to get the old behavior back?  With Sylpheed 0.8.11 Claws, deleting a message would cause the following message to be displayed.  I much prefer this.
