Javier was correct about the Yahoo change. It does apply to desktop
email or email-related programs in Windows (e.g., Sylpheed, Mailwasher).
One has to generate a password via Yahoo. Here's how:

- Go to your Yahoo Mail account in Yahoo
- Click on your name on upper right and then the acct you want to
generate a password for
- On the left click Account Security
- At the bottom, generate a password by choosing Other App, and then
naming Sylpheed in the box, etc.
- Copy the generated password into that Sylpheed account setting
- then run Get All to make sure it works.
