Hello,

because Linux Mint 19.3 comes with sylpheed version 3.5.1 I decided to compile
version 3.7.0 I'm used to by myself. I ran into the following problem:

| checking pkg-config is at least version 0.16... yes
| checking for GLIB - version >= 2.8.0... Package glib-2.0 was not found in the pkg-config search path.
| Perhaps you should add the directory containing `glib-2.0.pc'
| to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
| No package 'glib-2.0' found
| Package gobject-2.0 was not found in the pkg-config search path.
| Perhaps you should add the directory containing `gobject-2.0.pc'
| to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
| No package 'gobject-2.0' found
| Package gmodule-2.0 was not found in the pkg-config search path.
| Perhaps you should add the directory containing `gmodule-2.0.pc'
| to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
| No package 'gmodule-2.0' found
| no
| *** Could not run GLIB test program, checking why...
| *** The test program failed to compile or link. See the file config.log for the
| *** exact error that occured. This usually means GLIB is incorrectly installed.
| configure: error: Test for GLib failed. See the 'INSTALL' for help.

What packages are missing from my system? I'm very new to Debian based Linux.

Any help welcome-
