[sylpheed:37001] Key bindings help?

Currently running Debian Stable with MATE 1.20.4.  I'm finding that I
am unable to set key bindings by the hover and select method.
Modifying my .sylpheed-2.0/menurc per instructions does nothing,
regrettably.  How would I be able to change these settings so I can set
a few key bindings?
