My case is not as extreme as yours as far as concentration -- but perhaps
extreme in a different way.

I have 182 aliases set up with my ISP which funnel into 6 email accounts.
I download those 6 email accounts into 6 Sylpheed email boxes (and filter
into others).

I have 42 accounts set up in Sylpheed -- many with the same default inbox
(on the receive tab of the account settings window) -- and all of those
42 accounts appear when I click on the current account in the From: bar.
I can select whichever one I want to have as the sending account.

As I said, it's already there. You just need to set up an account for
each sender you desire.
