Now THAT would be good news! > Can you share that article? It was, like I said, in another life, probably 70's/80's. Its topic was more about what we then called 'Die by Wire' but the arrival of digital readouts and total lack of triangulabity(?) or feedback made my blood boil. All for naught, the Air France crash into the Ocean became an all too sad example. Oh, BTW, I don't think anyone would be able to find it anymore, it was a letter to the editor or whatever they called it then. Keywords to search for that I remember are "wire monkey", "triangulate", "die by wire", possibly "ADF", "rule", the rest I don't remember. Being 79 you could still shave with my memory; alas it ain't any wider now than the sharp edge of the blade :-) > /Marcus > > P.S.: You know your Illich, don't you? Not really, never studied humanities much, it was always science, math, engineering. Except when I just 'had' to pad with some humanities credits so I took a 'real smirky' swing at theology, english lit, and Communication Arts, never regretted any of it! HTH
