[sylpheed:37270] Weird folder problem

Sylpheed 3.7.0, Win 32  (Win 10)
Longer story short, an email folder got messed up, so I deleted it and
then copied it, including subfolders, over from a backup done a couple
of days ago. The folder now shows the correct number of emails under
Total for the top folder and subfolders, but is not showing any actual
emails at all, and has 0's for New or Unread, which is unexpected
(they'd normally be treated as new and unread in a copy over). I closed
and reopend Sylpheed and did a reboot, but no change. Any ideas how to
fix this? Thanks,
