I opened an empty message window to write a new message.
At the bottom of that window the default format is set to HTML - PureHTML.
I did not set that, apparently, it is TB's default.
In the To: field I wrote a mailaddres.
While I prefer to write in 'Plain Text', I tried to changed the format. 
Then the error appeared.
 
I don't have a specific template format configured, this to is, how
TB is configured after install.
 
I clicked your mail to answer, then changed from HTML - PureHTML to
Plain text and that went well, no error.

Then I copied your mailaddress to compose a new message, so, no reply.
Then the error appeared again.
So, it happens only when composing a new message.
 
I tried the same with random mail addresses on all my accounts in TB,
tried to compose new messages. (No replies).
The error appeared every time.
