Folder Maintenance wiping out messages

Hi TBTECH'ers,

This has happened to me twice on separate occasions. I had a problem
with one of the folders and ran Folder Maintenance (check
integrity/repair). It finds problems with one of the folders and
signals that a considerable number of messages were recovered. At then
end, the folder is completely wiped out of messages!

Is this a known problem or is the repair function not reliable? What
can I do to avoid this disaster?
