 I have K9; turned it off for a month of Beta-Testing a Trend Micro
 thingy with spam filtering, and still have the Connection Centre
 issue to deal with.

 I'm betting they can't duplicate the problem often enough, or ever,
 in order to design a solution. Heck, I can't even make it fail by
 waving a wand at the screen, on command .... but it does happen often
 enough to have a quick-launch kill function in the quick-launch tray.
