Well, AFAIR it has always been that way for me. But I have always had
autoview enabled, I don't know whether that's related.
How do you sort your messages? Newest on top or down? I remember
complaints about the sorting method and this subject, but I don't know
for which versions. I always preferred newest on top and didn't have
this problems.
