Forgive me for being so obtuse but are you saying I should/could create an
account for my wife in my TB! and then switch to that account and restore her
backup?

Would her backup be a single file somewhere on her computer that could be copied
over to my computer?

I really appreciate your help Gunivortus and I will do this (if I'm
understanding it correctly) as soon as I return from a lengthy errand.
