Hello,

as of the beginning of this week I have, as a second operating system on my PC,
installed Linux Mint ( 22.1 Cinnamon), in a dual boot.
Although I do not know yet whether I will give up Windows at all, I want to learn
using Mint for my dayly activities. That most certainly will be a process of a
long breeth... I give it at least a year.
Unfortunately, The Bat is a Windows-only application, but maybe some of you
know a Linux mail client which looks like a 'The Bat clone'?
Then I could install and try it out.

It is not that I suddenly 'hate' Windows, but I need to reduce the costs of the
programs I use.... quite a few of them have yearly fees, and, with the coming
of Windows 12, new versions may come which may cost me even more.
Of some subscription fees an increase was announced.
Under Linux those costs are much lower (so far as I can see it now).
