Mailbox migration

I've noticed that when I migrated my mail folders to the new freeBSD 10.1 / dovecot2 server, dovecot choked on the various dovecot indexes, etc. The error message was "Different CPU type". That isn't true since both boxes are identical. Simply deleting these files fixed the problem. Dovecot built new ones next time mail came in. It's something to keep in mind when moving mail. Otherwise, simply copying /usr/local/virtual to the new box is effective. I have one question: Sieve is compiled automatically when a change is sensed by dovecot. Should I delete the compiled sieve files along with the other dovecot-generated files? Has anyone tried migrating with the sieve files? I had been using dovecot 1 lda with sieve. I am moving to my new setup with dovecot 2.
