I'm unaware of any major PHP changes (in any "supported" releases, anyway). I'm not sure if Joshua has had much (any?) help with getting Maia up-to-date for PHP7 but that's just me. Hopefully, it'll be ready soon. I'd absolutely contribute if I knew anywhere near enough about PHP to do so.
