I'm unable to reproduce this. Obviously, I can't remove the Smarty link from pkg-plist otherwise it wouldn't be created. If you run a "make all install" (no cleaning) from a the port, does the "/usr/ports/security/maia-mailguard/work/stage/usr/local/www/maia-mailguard/libs/Smarty" link exist? If so, where does it link to? Also, Is there currently a /usr/loca/www/maia-mailguard/libs/Smary link that exists? If so, can you try deleting that? Perhaps the old port didn't remove it and it's causing the error?
