vpopmail-mysql

I have converted my vpopmail to use mysql.

Now my question is how do I change user's passwords?
There are 2 columns in the mysql table:
pw_passwd
pw_clear_passwd

Now, I want to write a php front-end that my users can
use to change their password. How do I change the
crypted password using an update statement? I would
rather not
use the unix command as to this is why I switched to
mysql in the first place.
