Hmmm....  this is all very confusing.

As I mentioned to do my upgrade I installed Wanderlust from MELPA
(wanderlust-20180826.1349).  It required "semi", and this
semi-20180825.901 was installed as a dependency.

I see that this "semi" identifies itself as SEMI-EGP.  Odd, but OK...

However the config settings I posted using "pgg-*" variables are what I
have done to make actually work with GnuPG-2.2.10, as seen in the
signature on my previous message, and hopefully this message.

I couldn't find anything useful anywhere about configuring EasyPG with
any SEMI version.

I only discovered the tricks for using pgg with gpg-agent by reading the
code and discovering that the test in `pgg-gpg-use-agent-p' was
out-dated and broken.

I still haven't figured out how to get gpg-agent to talk to the correct
emacs instance (I usually have several emacs instances running, but
usually only one for use for email).  Stopping pinentry in other emacs
instances does not seem to work reliably so far, but it's the best I've
come up with do date.

Pinentry does improve on the previous state of affairs (I was using
PGP-5 with pgg, which was a big improvement over mailcrypt), though it's
still a far cry from being as simple as GPG-Mail in Apple Mail.app, and
after all these many years the general task of using PGP with email is
still far far far too complicated for my Mom.  Why does it have to be so
complex?  We computer people seem to love complexity and we always offer
way too many options with no clear defaults which are guaranteed to
work.
