I installed from melpa and it compiled everything, I think there were a couple of failures in the compiles, but they seemed to be related to some Japanese items which I do not have. Thanks for responding and I am glad you tried to build it. It must be something in my setup. One other thing, I am using a text console, if that makes any difference.
