Sendmail

I'm having a trouble with xmail sendmail program.
After exporting MAIL_ROOT, I running this command from MAIL_ROOT directory:
bin/sendmail -f"FROM_MAIL_ADDRESS" --ximput-file /tmp/test "TO_MAIL_ADDRESS"
At this point the shell is hold.
If I digit . (dot) and return, the prompt become ok but no message is sent.
The xmail debug output is (after . imput):

Ubuntu server: 9.04
