it doesn't.  i just so happen to have a very large development project.  i suspect having large
amounts of data in a users home directory that are not emails cannot be uncommon.

by your good guess on the server (UW 2002d-2), i suspect many (every ?) new Zoe user is ignorant to
it's blasé treatment of UW imap servers ?  perhaps changing the "eg mail.mac.com" example in the
setup screen to "eg. mail.mac.com/imap_root/" would save the few of us relatively tech savvy people
from having heart attacks while excitedly playing with their new toy ?

a solution could be to set a "Notificaton Level" in the "Configuration" options, then if an
notification at or above the indicated level arises, it throws a semiphore that will place a very
small notification icon in the UI around or near the search / picon area at the next user refresh.
an interested user can simply click the icon to see the man behind the curtain.

search result ad nauseum. . .

if you are guaging interest in the option of having in addition to the current "Showing Results
1-25", an option to show links to would-be "Page 1, 2, 3, 4. . ." much the same way Google does for
search results, you can add one more resounded vote "FOR."

bug(ish) report. . .

usually once per day all messages will disaapear from the interface without notification (performing
some background maintenance ?) then will return later (usually after a 1/2-hr or so.)  Another
similar issue is that once every coulpe of days all messages, contributors, lists, attachments, and
links for "Zoe:Timeline:Today" will show exactly 19 days earlier than the current day.  Similarly,
it will return to normal after 1/2-hr or so.  Absolutely no rhyme or reason to it, or so it seems.
the "reboot windows" *ahem* i mean "rebuild indexes" seems to accomplish nothing more than wasting
5hrs of computing time rather than changing the frequency of these behaviors :)
