While the timer runs every 3 minutes by default, the RSS feeds are only 
checked every half an hour. In addition, the RSS fetcher issue 
condition GETs, taking into account modification date and entity tags.

If you need to, you can always control the RSS fetcher schedule by 
tweaking the RSSChannel's ttl property.
