help!! : lots of database errors, rebuild probs, etc

hello,

just the other day i started up Zoe (0.5.7 - which i have been running  
for months) and none of my archived email messages showed up, even  
though the calendar was 'full'. but clicking on any particular day gave  
zero results. ( at last check i had passed the 41k msgs mark )

so tonight was the night to figure out what was happening. i started  
going through the troubleshooting page on one of the Zoe wikis.


== initially i ran Zoe as normal from the command line so i could see  
what was happening. i was getting these errors:

06/29 19:29:48 (Warning) InputStream.refill: java.io.IOException: read  
past EOF


== so i ran the 'check' command:
 > java -jar Zoe.jar check

and was still getting the same error:

06/29 19:29:38 (Info) Start.main: starting...

== so next i ran the 'clean' command
same thing.


== next on the list was the 'rebuild' command. then i was getting these  
'file not found' errors:

== at this point i did the instructions on the Recover Corrupted  
Installation wiki page

ie, rename folder, install a new Zoe, copy over mails, etc. then run  
build. at this point i gave it more memory.

 > java -Xms64m -Xmx256m -jar Zoe.jar rebuild

but still got these 'file not found' warnings

question is, where are these warnings coming from if i installed Zoe  
from scratch and only moved over the .eml data?
more importantly, how do i get through this?
