Another data point that might some folks. I found a similar thing happening -- all emails disappearing out from under Zoe. For some reason I stumbled upon the fact that the Windows indexer was attempting to index the Zoe directories. This seemed to cause problems. I disabled the indexing and I haven't seen any problems since. Your mileage will undoubtably vary. Going back to the current day, then showed that there were NO messages at all for the day, though the date in the calendar was grey. Looking in the actual directory did show the messages were still there. Doing a search on known subject lines did find the messages and clicking on their links worked just fine. After a few hours, the day view started showing the messages again. > >Yesterday, I refreshed the zoehost:10080 link and EVERYTHING WAS BLANK!!! The day views of Zoë for the entire history show no messages at all, but the messages are still searchable and the data is still in the directories and the correct dates in the calendar are grey clickable links. Clicking on a message found by the search produces a blank page and the URL does look truncated. For example searching for Zoë produces a page of results with the first link as: > > http://geon:10080/message/2003/8/24/141678614 > >but clicking on the link takes me to a blank page, with a URL of: > > http://geon:10080/timeline/2003/8/24 > >which is obviously truncated. Typing in the rest of the link manually doesn't seem to help. I've been waiting almost 20 hours and this situation has not spontaneosly improved like the last one did. Nor has a shutdown and restart helped. > >One other tidbit of information is that my other account, created with '-Duser.name=drmcrocker', is working just fine at the moment, though it has exhibitted similar problems in the past. > > > >>Hmmm... in theory, a user identifier never change... and if it does... >>this is a very bad thing :/ >> >> > >I doubt this has anything to do with the identifier changing. My guess is that this is a database problem and it might be related to the fetching bug I reported earlier (http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_id=5177799&forum_id=9604). Either that or Thomas Jenny and I are reporting on an entirely different bug. > >I do notice that, occationally, when messages disappear, the message will appear in the day view, but clicking on the link produces a URL that is truncated and doesn't show a message at all. I'm a little reluctant to do a rebuild in my current situation since I really need to do a purge first, but am afraid at what that might do if Zoë thinks there are no messages on any day at all. > > > >>Could you send a bug report using the >>built-in report facility? >> >> > >I don't know about Yagiz Yasaroglu's situation, but in mine, there are no exceptions noted at all when these things happen, so the bug report will only let you know his OS and JVM version... which is: > > Version: 0.5.8 > Build: 200404014.962794 > Configuration: Default* > JVM: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 1.4.1_01 > Language: English (United States) > Encoding: MacRoman > Memory: 4 MB > Implementation: Apple Computer, Inc. > OS: Mac OS X 10.2.6 > Architecture: PPC > Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (OS/2; U; Warp 4.5; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030313 > > > > > > >------------------------------------------------------- >This SF.Net email is sponsored by OSTG.
