I just tried again, and it turns out that I can't send through the SMTP server either. I've been using my ISPs all this time... So I guess eudora won't conenct to either POP or SMTP. I am entering them in eudora in the following format: POP 127.0.0.1:10110 - should I be handling this in some other way? Erik =========== Here are the results of my telenet attempt: telenet 127.0.0.1 10110 +OK Hi So it appears to be working. Netstat yields the following: Proto Local Address Foreign Address State TCP turbo:10110 localhost:3893 TIME_WAIT TCP turbo:netbios-ssn 192.168.168.103:1371 ESTABLISHED TCP turbo:1086 vps.mydomain.net:8888 ESTABLISHED TCP turbo:1530 compex:631 CLOSE_WAIT TCP turbo:2969 64.12.25.120:5190 ESTABLISHED TCP turbo:3894 66.102.7.147:http ESTABLISHED TCP turbo:3905 216.239.57.147:http ESTABLISHED TCP turbo:3907 216.239.57.105:http ESTABLISHED TCP turbo:3908 vps.mydomain.net:pop3 TIME_WAIT The app is running. I have the browser window open and am able to search for mail. It also checks my remote pop server for mail succesfully.
