I stop using Eudora long ago, but I also ran into similar problems importing
old mail from the Eudora days.

It's not the file format, but the format of the messages not conforming
to standards.

Yup, looks like what I ran into. I don't remember exactly what I did to
solve the problem. But it should be one of the following:

1. See if there's a "Content-Type" header. If not, add "Content-Type: text/html"
to it. 

2. If there's a "Content-Type" header, but it's not "text/html", change
it.

If neither trick works, I'll try to think if there's anything else I did.
