It should work out-of-the-box... or at least it does for me :o)



Nothing special, except making sure to check the "Use SSL" for both 
host name and smtp.

The resulting connection URLs should look like this:

pop3://username:[email protected]:995
smtp://username:[email protected]:465

This is basically the same setup as in Mail.app:



One thing though: GMail seems to allow only access from one client... 
e.g. it seems to implicitly remove everything from its POP queue after 
a client connects to it... bummer :/
