A longtime person here, mainly lurking and reading....

I couldn't let this go without putting in my opinion:
In no particular order as these are my favorite 4ad
records of all time....period:

His Name Is Alive: Mouth By Mouth. Warn's production
is so crazy and so vivacious. Makes everything else
he's ever produced seem bland. I've listened to it a
million times and always hear something new.

Cocteau Twins: Treasure. Could you find anything
more beautiful? That's what really got me hooked!

Lush: Split. Arguably not their best record, but it
just holds a ton of memories of good times and bad.

Mojave 3: Ask Me Tomorrow. About the only record on
the planet that makes me cry.

Scheer: Infliction. Dense, loud, and beautiful all at
the same time. Never heard anything this loud be so
lush and so thoroughly textured.

Close to the list: Unrest-Perfect Teeth and Dead Can
Dance-Spleen and Ideal.

Got to see Mojave and Scheer in Austin when they
toured with Lush. Lush played a larger, opening that
night, and the two remaining bands played in a smaller
club. It was amazing. Also saw HNIA do a small fairly
acoustic gig after the release of Stars of ESP. Very
neat. Karin drew a rose and Warn put some neat
ramblings in my copy of King Of Sweet (in sharpie, of
course)

okay. back to lurking. Thanks for listening.
