Hinterland

Hello, everyone. I'm new to the list, and I thought I'd get the 
shameless self-promotion out of the way right off the bat. I play in 
a band called Hinterland. We have been compared to everything from 
the Cocteau Twins to the Sundays to the Jesus and Mary Chain. 
Needless to say, we are big 4AD fans, so I thought members of this 
list might dig our stuff. We are just finishing up work on our first 
full-length album and seeking a label to put it out. Check us out at

"Hinterland produces a cerebral sound that is more neuron-stimulating 
than it is adrenaline-pumping....Every taste made my ears 
increasingly more hungry. Michaela Galloway's vocals are sultry and 
soaring, always with a kind of kick-your-ass toughness that hovers 
somewhere between Bjork and Elizabeth Fraser of the Cocteau Twins. 
The band uses a lot of echo effects and additional synthetic noises 
to create a really lush and atmospheric mood. The songs burn like 
candles in a dark room; they're not overpowering but they are
