Hi there 4AD and Goodson listees.

This e-mail is been written to get some help from you out there.

A gilrfriend from my city is traveling to Washington, New Orleans and New 
York in two weeks. She will spend a month in there visiting those cities.

She asked me to help her searching for the addresses, phones, websites and 
practical information of nice hotels where she may spend between three and 
five days in New York. You know how expensive it is for us,  people in Latin 
America to get to those places. She plans to get to New York and get some 
visits to museums, bookstores and if there are nice events like gigs or 
theater shows, she will get there.

So if you people out there have any possibility of sending me that info, I 
would really appreciate it.

Also, if someone would have the time to help her, that would be cool.

Or if there´s someone who may leave nice music for me in the hotel lobby, 
that would be great!!!!jaja

I am also planning to make four cd compilations for her trip and here are 
how I want to make them up.

So you if you wish to help me read the following information and e-mail with 
your suggestions.

1.  A cd devoted to songs whose name has New York in its title. For example 
"New York, New York" from Frank Sinatra, NYC from Interpol, New York, U.S.A. 
from Serge Gainsbourg...etc.

2. A cd devoted to artists and band who emerged from New York. I know there 
are lots of artists like The Cramps, Blondie, The Ramones, Sonic Youth, 
Beastie Boys and others who have emerged from there, but I want some other 
reccommendations and precisely, songs which you consider have a great 
relationship with the city.

3. Songs to travel with. I want to make a compilation of those songs who 
relate to any type of travel. Songs that are great to listen on youe 
portable stereo if you are traveling by bus, car, plane, boat or train. 
Songs that you enjoy listening while the trip takes place.

4. Songs about food. Songs whose title relates with food. For example 
Cheeseburguer by Gang or Four. These are songs for her to get amused while 
she gets her meals in her trip.

And finally if someone has any book reccomendation that would also be fine. 
Books that may introduce her to the story about this city and the places 
around.
