Saving 4ad-l

There are controls that can be put in place on the yahoogroups list. The
problem is that we need to figure out who is/are the list moderators. My
guess is that they are AWOL. If we can get Yahoo to set up new
moderators we can change the list settings to allow posts only from
members and also to have the moderators verify all membership requests.

The moderator can then unsubscribe the offending posters and make sure
that they don't join again, under the same name. If we make it too
difficult for them to spam the list, then they won't bother.

I moderate another list on yahoogroups so I have been through some of
these things.

P.S. Personally, I prefer the email list over the web thing. Clicking my
way through everything and having to sort through threads is, to me a
pain.
