It is a Shame,  but 4AD of today is nothing similar than the past.
I think the Projekt label of Sam Rosenthal in the USA has been in the same level for years.

I used to live and breath 4ad, in the mid to late eighties
anything that was released was unique and every band had quirk 

Cocteau twins had Liz and her vocabulary and unique inflection

Dead Can Dance Educated me in sonic philosophy, and primal trance

XMal Duetchland were crass and vibrating

Throwing Muses were like a prozac nightmare

We had This Mortal Coil dripping acid in our tea

Pixies, Screamed and scratched our hairy backs

Gone are the Albino Giants of Funk Wolgang Press, at times with Liz
Just A Little Bit

4ad is really gone boring and same old domestic trite , except a few,
Piano magic impressed me , I like Kristin's Solo, Red House Painters
left their Mark,, now whats your opinion
