the entirety of the service.  And if it had been about money, they would have
accepted his offer to pay.  Sorry, no deal.

He also asked for help, wanting to fix things.

Frankly, losing your house over the mistake of choosing not to pay in the $75 is
a cruel and unjust cost.

The fact there are are not any options between the yearly fee and the house
burning down makes it sparklingly clear that the system is shit-nothing else.
 
**well sure, but a lousy 75 fee?  Seriously?  Had this been a 75 a month fee I
can understand, but this was nothing, and he admitted he knew the consequences.

 
And yet, just weeks ago, I was accused of being to cynical by suggesting that
people oppose helping someone unless they are totally guilt free in a bad
situation.
