> Karl > There is no victim really. I'm not sure I'll go that far. **well I meant that in the broader sense, since I object to the victim mentality being used here. The guy is a victim of his own mistake. **true However even if the fire department put out the fire, he would still have some damaged property. Presumably this was through no fault of his own. **what the fire? His grandson started it. Had I been his neighbor, I would have done everything I could to help him put out the fire, even if my house wasn't threatened. That's just called being a good neighbor and helping people. Everyone makes mistakes. Having your house burn down is a big price to pay for a mistake. ***yea, I would agree But I also can't blame the fire department or anyone for not coming to his aid especially when he intentionally shunned them. And I certainly wouldn't call them cowards or selfish. **yea. It's a bad thing that happened. Maybe more people will pay the fee and something good will happen because of it. **Maybe people will demand the county live up to its responsibility and provide service. -- dadl-ot mailing list http://mail.thehood.us/mailman/listinfo/dadl-ot_thehood.us http://news.gmane.org/gmane.music.dadl.ot
