I have a laptop provided by work. It is a 5 year old IBM, so hardly a new shiny model. Those old IBM thinkpads are nearly indestructable. The fun part is I think they have forgotten I have it, it is so old. I’d like a new one, but I prefer investing my money in desktops which I use more at home. But even so, I look at the iPad and for me, it will not fit my needs. No attempt was made to explain Acer's poor performance in the US, however, where Apple may pass Acer even though Apple's notebooks cost much more than many of Acer's >budget-focused notebooks and netbooks. It's funny...I have been debating getting a laptop for awhile now, for mobility. But lately, I am contemplating the iPad...
