As it would on a netbook. I think it's more fair to compare an iPad to
one of those, rather than a desktop. Even then, it depends on your
usage whether the iPad is a better device for you.

I think the Acer guy is taking Jobs a bit out of context. Jobs didn't
say the *iPad* by itself will replace computers, but specialized
devices like it. And I already see that.

For example, I'd rather buy an Xbox or a PS3 than a more powerful
desktop to play games. I'd rather buy an Apple TV (or whatever) to
stream internet movies to my TV than stream from my desktop. And maybe
something like an iPad would fit my needs for surfing internet sites
and reading/writing emails better than a full-fledged notebook.

Of course, nerds like us will always want powerful desktops and full
notebooks, but that's not necessarily where the market is going.
