In a *2-pound-something* package. The 11" is less than a pound heavier
than the iPad.

I think hardware has reached a point where we don't necessarily need
the fastest specs available for most of what we're doing. It's
interesting to explore other directions, like how light & thin we can
make the thing.

***I know laptops always run through a cycle like this. At one point smaller
was better, then big screens and features and now smaller is resurging. As I
said, I prefer a whole computer approach, none of the uber small systems appeal
to me...which is kinda sad really, as the tablet PCs are only available small.

For what I need, certainly. I don't see myself downgrading to an Air
as I need to run development tools. But if I didn't? And I wanted a
light machine to carry everywhere?

**my (s)thinkpad is small enough, and has never caused me pause. But I am
hardly the regular user.
