**it’s not as much flawed as it is subjective. For me, when I walk past a bunch of Mexicans lounging against a library wall I get nervous. They never did anything to me. But in high school the guys who lounged there were all Mexicans and when I walked past them I got harassed and beaten. True story. So yea, the comparison might be totally valid to the person who has been robbed by blacks enough times to instill a reasonable fear. Details matter.
Sure, and this defense applies to many minorities in regards to distrust of white people. It may be an understandable impulse, it doesn't mean that its us at our best though. With the exception of jocks. They are all the same in every generation. ;)
