Re: On Elizabeth Moon, perceived anti-Muslim bigotry, and being uninvited as Guest of Honor at WisCon

Let's say Michael W. Smith was being invited to speak to a convention of
songwriters. Let's say he wrote a blog post about a friend who happened to
be gay, and his plea was for Christians not to judge gays. If the convention
wanted to disinvite him on the basis of his comment on his personal blog
having nothing to do with writing songs, I'd oppose it on the basis that it
doesn't have anything to do with the purpose of the convention.

But that's just me. I'm with Will Shetterly thinking that WisCon lost an
opportunity here.
