And if the banks get free health care, (financially speaking), it is hard for me to see why we shouldn't get the same, if we got their financial handouts we could all afford health care). I think there is precedent for societally funded social programs going back to the beginning of USA's history and in nearly all forms of government prior (even coercively so, via taxation, sometimes with representation, sometimes not). And I think it's in society's best interest to be healthy, educated, able to travel, able to protect their life, liberty, pursuit of hapiness, yada yada. And I also think that our current budget is out of whack with our best interests.
