Yes, a noble waste of money.

I am fine with appealing the conviction, and the evidence and the facts. 
The
guilt and innocence MUST be sure.

But I dunno, some of this loses me.  The state has determined it is going to
kill you.  God forbid it might hurt.

Sorry, just how I feel.  The murderer likely had no such consideration for 
the
victim.

I think his lawyer were grasping at straws and trying anything to get what 
they
realize is the inevitable delayed.  It is understandable for lawyer in 
capital
case appeals to have such irony lost on them.  And I mean that sincerely - I

am
not opposed to the death penalty in principle but those guys/girls invest 
their
heart and souls into those cases.  It is rather noble I think.
