It is possible, but you have done nothing to demonstrate it.

First of all "noble waste of money" is an oxymoron.

Second, I was talking about that particular effort or appeal but about the 
"mission" of many anti-capital punishment appellate counsel.  While I may not 
always agree with their stance on capital punishment, it isn't a position that 
causes harm.  And like I said they invest their hearts and souls into that 
mission.  They humanize what society has designated inhuman and fight for the 
most unlovable among us.  It seems to me that they are living and breathing 
Matthew 25:36 in some sense.  They sure are going to the mat for something they 
believe to a much greater extent than I do.

If that isn't noble I don't know what is and feel sorry for anyone who doesn't 
get that.

I am fine with appealing the conviction, and the evidence and the facts. 
The
guilt and innocence MUST be sure.

But I dunno, some of this loses me.  The state has determined it is going to
kill you.  God forbid it might hurt.

Sorry, just how I feel.  The murderer likely had no such consideration for

victim.

I think his lawyer were grasping at straws and trying anything to get what 
they
realize is the inevitable delayed.  It is understandable for lawyer in 
capital
case appeals to have such irony lost on them.  And I mean that sincerely - I

am
not opposed to the death penalty in principle but those guys/girls invest

heart and souls into those cases.  It is rather noble I think.
