>>Two of your favorite characters... hmmm. This gets me thinking, if two characters *had* to die in the film, but I got to choose them, who would it be? I suppose it would probably be River, and... Inara? wow really? >>The former because she was such an enigma (and frequently insufferable), that I don't feel like she'd be missed. **yea, except that she served as a serious focal point for, you know, EVERYTHING. And in Serenity, she was clearly the center of the movie. >>Inara's a tougher choice, not so much because I love her character, but because of her character's function (i.e., to provide a conscience and a sexual conflict for Mal). Well sure, but damn she's cute. And whats wrong with having someone who can keep Mal in check? Book was in some ways one of the weakest characters and could be missed less than most others. And his 'wisdom' is deliverable in flashback. Wash was comedy relief more than anything and only his marriage to Zoe really made him essential. Jane was the necessary evil among us, and Kaylee was the heart of the ship. Those two would be hard to part with. -- dadl-ot mailing list http://mail.thehood.us/mailman/listinfo/dadl-ot_thehood.us http://news.gmane.org/gmane.music.dadl.ot
