The Big Love/Brown Bunny/Chloe Sevigny discussion got me reading
reviews about "The Brown Bunny," which in turn led me to reviews of
Gallo's "Buffalo '66," a film I truly adore. Roger Ebert's opening
paragraph:

"Vincent Gallo's ``Buffalo '66'' plays like a collision between a lot
of half-baked visual ideas and a deep and urgent need. That makes it
interesting. Most movies don't bake their visual ideas at all, nor do
we sense that their makers have had to choose between filming them, or
imploding."

That kind of writing puts a smile on my face.
