Seriously, I've always thought it was kind of daring for Disney to devote 
an entire song-and-dance number to the suffragette movement in that film, 
when there was no reason for him to mention it *at all*, near as I can 
tell.  (Or was it a component of the original books?)

So to hear someone say that Disney played it "safe" there just sounded 
kind of odd, to me.
