And by the way, I didn’t say that the republicans did play nice, I said the democrats counted on that presumption. I see it all the time from liberal friends who blast the republicans for doing the same things democrats do, usually because they can be accused of not being christian or something. Instead, they are the opposition >party and they had better change their ways. Honestly? I am certainly more frustrated by the behavior of the Republicans. So yeah, i address them more. It frustrated me to see them out at rallies this past year holding up signs from the steps to show "solidarity" with the Tea Party-when they were as equally guilty of the huge debt (let us not ignore that the 2010 Budget was lower than the 2009 Budget-and that was Bush's last budget...but the Republicans wave a few don't treat on me signs, all is forgiven and the Tea Party takes them at their word that they are suddenly all about fiscal responsibility. That is mind blowing to me. If Obama claimed an epiphany and said he wanted to work on cutting the budget by cutting spending, it would not be so easy for him. And more, certain things that I see as issues of liberty are things many, MANY of the current Republican party oppose. It feels like an expansion of liberty I was once hopeful for is now dead. You never showed when Republicans were nice...was it when they employed the Southern Strategy?
