TS3 is basically a rehash of things that TS1 and TS2 had already dealt with more conclusively -- and, what's more, TS3 introduces some plot elements that kind of screw with the established universe. To put this another way, there are things about TS2 that might get kind of confusing if you think about them too hard, but most fans of that movie would say, "Oh, you're not supposed to push beyond the movie like that." And I would agree, as far as TS2 is concerned.
